About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Join our Resilience Division team out of the New York City / Westchester area
- Work under Senior and Principal Architects in developing Conceptual Design, Design Development and Construction Documentation for projects
- Understand design concepts and construction methods through critical thinking and problem-solving
- Responsibilities include renderings, detail development, material research, code research and site/field visits
- Use both oral and written communication skills to effectively progress projects with other disciplines and stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5 to 10 years’ experience as a Staff Architect Designer
- Knowledge with masonry, concrete and steel construction design and detailing in municipal and industrial environments
- Client Management and overall communication skills with strong leadership experience
- Proficiency with Revit, Primavera and/or MS Project and the MS Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- International Code Council Codes experience
- 3D Max, Rhino, Photoshop or other presentation platform experience
- LEED or Other Sustainable Program Experience (preferred)
- Actual making or building experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of NYC Codes and Permitting (preferred)
- Documented Revit Certification (preferred)
