About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- responsible for the electrical design and coordination of various projects focusing on medium and low voltage power distribution, motor controls, lighting, and grounding for water/wastewater projects
- provide leadership, technical knowledge, and guidance to electrical staff
- manage projects/tasks budgets and delivery schedules
- balance team workload for multiple assignments
- support business development and prepare scopes, schedules, and budget for new projects
- work in multi-discipline teams
- establish design criteria and perform design calculations
- conduct field inspections and oversee projects in construction
- perform system analysis using ETAP, SKM Power Tools or other power systems analysis software
- collaborate with practice leadership and participate in regional/national conferences
Requirements
What you’ll need- at least 12 years of relevant work experience
- hold a bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
- possess a Professional Engineering (PE) license in Florida
- solid working knowledge of the National Electrical Code – NFPA 70
- understanding of AutoCAD
- proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Sharepoint, Word, Excel, MS Project, and Outlook
- performance-driven
- ability to mentor and manage junior/staff engineers on multiple concurrent projects
