About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Contribute to the planning, design, coordination, and delivery of electrical systems for railway and transit projects
  • Support the design and engineering of traction power, low voltage power distribution, lighting, grounding and bonding
  • Prepare and review technical reports, engineering calculations, design drawings, specifications, and other project documents
  • Coordinate with civil, structural, track, signaling, systems, and mechanical disciplines for integrated project delivery
  • Support project delivery in line with scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university
  • Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng.) or eligibility for registration with the relevant provincial engineering association is preferred
  • Experience in the design and delivery of railway, transit, transportation, or infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated understanding of electrical systems related to rail and transit environments
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations applicable to railway and transit projects
  • Experience preparing engineering calculations, technical specifications, reports, and design documentation
  • Proficiency with standard engineering software and design tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, or other related platforms
