About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- conduct structural analysis, design, and engineering during construction services for climate adaptation projects
- conduct structural related engineering investigations, calculations, and planning work
- research feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions and regulatory agency specifications
- develop calculations, plans, specifications, requests for proposals, and other contract documents
- work directly with a variety of engineering disciplines, office/project staff, clients, and subcontractors throughout the project life cycle
- manage related budgets and schedules, lead deliverables, and facilitate coordination for timely completion and submission of projects
- mentor entry-level and junior structural engineering staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6 or more years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration
- experience designing flood walls, flood gates, retaining wall structures, and deep foundations
- experience delivering resiliency projects
- previous experience working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is highly preferred
- proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as STAAD, MathCAD, AutoCAD, and Revit
