About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist Project Managers and Task Managers in planning and executing environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks.
- Conduct fieldwork; including collection and documentation of soil, air/vapor, groundwater, and surface water samples.
- Oversee subcontractors, including drilling operations and installation of groundwater wells.
- Conduct remedial system operation and maintenance checks, facility inspections, and soil gas surveys.
- Provide emergency response support for environmental sample planning, state/federal regulator correspondence, and onsite contractor oversight.
- Write and prepare technical reports, work plans, and letters.
- Perform office work including task coordination, data analysis, proposal development, and project strategy development.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, or closely related field (i.e., environmental science, physical science)
- 2 years of relevant work experience highlighted in your resume
- Master of Science degree in Geology or closely related field (preferred)
- Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training (preferred)
- Experience supervising environmental drilling (preferred)
