About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Providing legal advice and support for artificial intelligence (AI)-related contracting
- Structuring, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating AI-related provisions in various agreements
- Developing and maintaining enterprise contracting standards, templates, and playbooks
- Advising on legal issues related to data use, intellectual property, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and AI governance
- Collaborating with various stakeholders to support technology initiatives
- Monitoring legal, regulatory, and market developments affecting AI contracting and offering practical guidance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active membership in good standing in at least one state bar or the District of Columbia
- Significant relevant experience advising on complex technology transactions, commercial agreements, or strategic vendor arrangements, preferably in a highly regulated environment
- Demonstrated ability to operate as both a legal advisor and a process partner
- Strong judgment, analytical ability, and comfort advising on novel or ambiguous issues
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills, including experience leading discussions with senior business, legal, risk, compliance, procurement, and technology stakeholders
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, manage multiple matters simultaneously, and collaborate successfully across functions
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
