Operations

• Lead Satellite Integration and Test Operations, including defining mechanical test plans, test flow, plans, and procedures and execution of environmental tests.
• Coordinate with subsystem leads (Electrical, Structural, Thermal, Propulsion, RF, GN&C) to define test requirements, interface definitions, and overall test coverage.
• Lead test readiness reviews (TRRs), anomaly review boards, and test disposition meetings throughout the I&T flow.

Satellite Test Operations Lead

Full-stack Engineer

• Design, develop, and implement flight software for TeraWave satellite bus subsystems including thermal control, power management, and propulsion control components
• Develop and implement closed-loop control software for spacecraft subsystems, including control algorithms supporting thermal regulation, power distribution, and propulsion management
• Create and maintain software interfaces between spacecraft subsystems to support safe and integrated vehicle operations
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, and autonomy engineers to define software requirements, interfaces, and behavioral boundaries across subsystems
• Develop and integrate simulation environments and models to test FSW across a range of nominal and off-nominal operational scenarios

Satellite Flight Software Engineer II

• Define and own the architecture of the test software ecosystem including test executive frameworks, abstraction layers, real time control interfaces, and the data pipeline
• Design test software systems for reliability, maintainability, and scalability
• Lead development of test sequencing engines, automated procedure execution frameworks and go/no-go limit checking systems to reduce manual operations
• Own test procedure development, review, and approval workflows from initial draft through qualification and acceptance
• Own integration of test software with hardware interfaces including serial buses, analog/discrete, I/O, RF Equipment APIs, and real time simulation platforms (speedgoat, National Instruments, etc.)

Satellite Test Software Lead

Hardware Engineer

• Design, develop, and test spacecraft avionics systems
• Lead the design and analysis of vehicle power systems, including power generation, energy storage, regulation, and distribution architectures.
• Perform hands-on fabrication, assembly, and testing of engineering-level hardware, including building and modifying wire harnesses, soldering components, and integrating sensor systems for rapid prototyping and troubleshooting.
• Design for the space environment, applying principles of radiation hardening (TID, SEE) to ensure system reliability.
• Perform analysis and select components to meet mission radiation requirements.
• Define and manage requirements for various sensors (e.g., IMUs, star trackers, magnetometers, pressure transducers, temperature sensors) and their corresponding electrical interfaces (e.g., analog, SPI, I2C, UART, RS-422, CAN, Ethernet).

Senior Avionics Hardware Engineer

Designer

• Develop and maintain corporate eCAD component libraries, including part footprints, schematic symbols and related component information
• Design and layout common circuit blocks to support high-performance, high-reliability PCBs development for aerospace applications
• Work with Altium Designer to create detailed PCB layout design files from schematics (Gerbers and FAB & ASY drawings, and other relevant documentation)

SDET

• Lead day-to-day electrical test operations across production vehicles, including harness continuity, subsystem functional testing, integrated vehicle verification, and pre-ship acceptance testing
• Own and maintain test procedures, test equipment calibration plans, and test scripts for all production test phases
• Drive test flow improvements to reduce cycle time and support rate increases without compromising test coverage
• Manage a team of test technicians and test engineers; provide mentorship, assign work, and maintain team readiness
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Mission Assurance to disposition test anomalies, nonconformances, and open items

• Own these avionics designs, and the rugged electronic hardware assemblies across the entire product life cycle, from concept and requirements definition, design, analysis, prototyping, schematic capture, layout, design review, test/verification (power-on, functional / acceptance / qualification testing) and through release to production.
• Support avionics controller architecture trade studies, analyses, performance characterization and specification, device selection, and controller roadmap direction.
• Support controller risk analyses, failure modes effects and criticality analyses (FMECA), design for test/manufacture/cost (DFx), and root-cause analysis of test discrepancies.

• Conduct on-site supplier audits to evaluate manufacturing process maturity, quality systems, capacity, and readiness to meet Blue Origin's performance requirements

• Own creation, release, and configuration management of work orders driving test stand component refurbishment (valves, filters, regulators, gauges, etc.), ground support equipment, and test article cleaning flows
• Shape and improve cleaning, passivation, verification, and refurbishment processes to meet cleanliness specs, fluid system requirements, and industry standards
• Source, specify, and procure tooling, fixturing, and equipment for CPV and component lab operations, including new test capability builds in West Texas
• Disposition non-conformances and, when escapes occur, drive recovery, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Champion continuous improvement (kaizen, process flow mapping, standard work) across CPV and component lab environments, partnering with technicians to capture and scale effective practices
