Engineer

• Lead the development of high-power, narrow-linewidth fiber amplifiers for spectral beam combining (SBC) and advanced photonics applications.
• Develop proof-of-concept fiber amplifier designs for cutting-edge free-space optical and advanced laser systems.
• Support the design, fabrication, test, and characterization of prototype high-power fiber amplifier hardware.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team on thermal management, optical packaging, beam quality optimization, and automation of high-power fiber amplifier subsystems.
• Interface with Supply Chain to identify and qualify suppliers for specialty optical components (pump diodes, gain fiber, fiber components, end caps, etc.) and support cost optimization.
• Conduct engineering analysis and trade studies across amplifier architectures, power scaling approaches, and make/buy decisions.
• Support vendor outreach and technical evaluation, including engagements with national labs and specialty optics suppliers.
• Communicate technical updates and design decisions to cross-functional teams and program leadership.

Senior Optical Amplifier Engineer – Advanced Photonics Systems

Full-stack Engineer

• Design and execute critical maneuvers during flight operations with real-time decision making.
• Develop navigation rehearsal processes, day-in-the-life ops simulations, console logs, and facilitate the integration of flight dynamics software.
• Automate astrodynamics operations processes to the limits that are possible as Blue Ring grows into fleet-wide operations.
• Work closely with mission planners, flight operations stakeholders, payload customers, systems engineers, and vehicle engineers.
• Perform flight dynamics algorithm development as needed, aid in its implementation into the Flight Dynamics software system, and understand its execution in the operational ground system.
• Present results and support critical design reviews using Agile development methodologies.
• Perform mission analysis ensuring robust mission performance across multiple operational scenarios.
• Communicate effectively with the distributed team of flight operations engineers.

Lead Engineer, Astrodynamics Operations

Supply Chain

• Lead efforts to develop and execute the strategic supply chain vision for your responsible subsystem in support of the New Glenn orbital launch vehicle.
• Interact with customers, engineering and operations, to address concerns and ensure development efforts and deliveries are on track.
• Manage and execute the material program strategy and the material program plan to ensure program competitiveness and performance from the front end of the business through fulfillment.
• Ensure the placement and receipt of all material requirements to meet those strategies and plans in support of program requirements including complete material management and ownership.
• Negotiate contracts and ensure supply chain competitiveness and performance throughout the lifecycle of the Program.
• Overall ownership of the supplier management process and communication of customer flow-through requirements to ensure that supplier performance exceeds mission objectives.
