About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyzes steady-state engine performance and detailed thermodynamic cycle data
  • Assesses engine operation across various conditions and certifies operating characteristics
  • Analyzes and communicates engine performance impacts on airplane subsystem performance
  • Collaborates with disciplines across the airplane to provide engine performance expertise
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and contributes to certification documentation
  • Conducts data analysis and risk assessments for flight tests
  • Coordinates with engine suppliers on engine/airplane performance throughout an airplane program's lifecycle

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
  • 5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • 1+ years experience in propulsion and thermodynamics
  • Foundational knowledge of gas turbine engine operation and thermodynamics
  • Experience with engine performance modeling tools & methods
  • Proficiency with Linux/Unix computing systems and shell scripting
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for engine and airplane certification
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
