About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Leads development of complex estimates and prices from complex technical requirements through the design, build, and support stages of the program
  • Leads development, and application of complex estimating, and pricing strategies using innovative computational techniques
  • Guides business proposals, evaluates, and makes recommendations based on complex or unique requests for proposals, and substantiates estimates, and pricing
  • Leads and performs complex analysis, and provides recommendations in support of pricing, and estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)
  • Coordinates and collaborates with proposal teams, and cost element functional owners to develop appropriate basis of estimate, and substantiation of cost estimates, proposals, and other related business decision data
  • Provides fact-finding, negotiation and audit support of cost proposal artifacts, and coordinate responses through proposal teams
  • Supports, prepares, and briefs senior leader-level presentations
  • Identifies, assesses and implements changes to processes, tools, and techniques to simplify estimating, and pricing methodologies, and improve cost estimating accuracy
  • Supports compliance activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience in a business-related role (finance, contracts, accounting, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience in developing estimates
  • 5+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, etc.
  • 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred)
  • Experience with and knowledge of United States Government Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) (preferred)
  • Experience performing parametric estimates and data analysis (preferred)
  • Experience using data analysis to drive decision making (preferred)
  • Experience leading projects with little direct supervision and drive project to completion (preferred)
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership (preferred)
  • Experience performing opportunity and risk analysis (preferred)
