About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Defines, validates, verifies and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
- Defines, coordinates and controls the functional and physical interfaces between the fuel system and the vehicle.
- Develops specifications, architectural and configuration concepts for fuel system electrical and electronic installations to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Uses various testing, analysis, modeling and simulation tools to estimate or calculate system performance or electromagnetic/electrostatics effects.
- Defines and performs certification tests for fuel systems and their components.
- Solves problems of fielded equipment over the entire product lifecycle. Supports fielded systems to ensure continued reliability.
- Writes Functional Hazard Assessments, System Safety Assessment reports, Test Proposals, Test Results, Certifications Plans, and Issue Papers.
- Cooperates with equipment suppliers, certification authorities and other areas to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
- Engineers in this position are expected to work assignments, collaborate with teammates, and receive tasks from managers and senior engineers.
- This position will require occasional national and/or international travel.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Automation engineering field.
- Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).
- Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.
- Experience with electrical/electronic system design, analysis and/or integration for aircraft.
- Experience in Fuel System Electrical Design, Analysis and Certification for transport category airplanes.
- Experience in Propulsion System Electrical Design, Analysis and Certification for transport category airplanes.
- Experience in Fuel quantity indicating systems Design, Analysis and Certification for transport category airplanes.
- Experience with electrical system circuit diagrams and schematics.
- Experience with electrostatics analysis and testing for fuels.
