About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Learn to utilise industry-leading tools and techniques for system safety and hazard analysis to define safety requirements that meet demanding regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to manage safety throughout the product and service lifecycle.
- Assist with the development of safety arguments and safety cases for assurance and certification activities using Goal Structuring Notation (GSN) or Claims Argument Evidence (CAE).
Requirements
What you’ll need- A background in a safety-critical and regulated environment (e.g., aerospace, defence, rail, automotive).
- Familiarity of common safety standards (e.g., Def Stan 00-056, MIL-STD-882E) and the application of safety analysis methods such as Functional Hazard Assessment (FHA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Bowtie analysis.
- The ability to plan and execute tasks to achieve timescales and costs.
- Good interpersonal skills to ensure effective team working and an appropriate working relationship with external customers.
- Proficiency in the use of general office IT tools, such as MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
- Strong technical communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or significant professional experience.
- UK National status is required, and candidates must be eligible for SC clearance.
