Learn to utilise industry-leading tools and techniques for system safety and hazard analysis to define safety requirements that meet demanding regulatory standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to manage safety throughout the product and service lifecycle.
Assist with the development of safety arguments and safety cases for assurance and certification activities using Goal Structuring Notation (GSN) or Claims Argument Evidence (CAE).

Requirements

What you’ll need

A background in a safety-critical and regulated environment (e.g., aerospace, defence, rail, automotive).
Familiarity of common safety standards (e.g., Def Stan 00-056, MIL-STD-882E) and the application of safety analysis methods such as Functional Hazard Assessment (FHA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Bowtie analysis.
The ability to plan and execute tasks to achieve timescales and costs.
Good interpersonal skills to ensure effective team working and an appropriate working relationship with external customers.
Proficiency in the use of general office IT tools, such as MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
Strong technical communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or significant professional experience.
UK National status is required, and candidates must be eligible for SC clearance.
