About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee grain and agronomy operations at the Sterling location, including the fertilizer plant and grain elevator
- Manage day-to-day operations to provide customers with prompt, courteous, and effective service while meeting operational and divisional objectives
- Lead, train, and support approximately six direct reports through clear work direction, performance feedback, and employee development
- Oversee inventory management, product ordering, asset utilization, and operational readiness for grain and agronomy facilities
- Manage fertilizer operations of approximately 20,000 tons annually, with the ability to support future growth and increased volume
- Complete administrative responsibilities, including COUPA activity, inventory ordering, time-off approvals, and required operational documentation
- Work alongside employees during peak seasons while responding to operational questions and customer needs in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain effective communication with employees, customers, and leadership to support alignment on priorities, service expectations, and business needs
- Promote and maintain a strong safety and compliance culture across the fertilizer plant and grain elevator by following policies, identifying hazards, and correcting unsafe conditions
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while supporting grain and agronomy operations, customer service, and overall location performance
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED
- 4+ years of experience in Operations and/or Business Operations
- Prior leadership experience with progressively advancing level of leadership responsibilities
