About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver senior technical leadership for Air Force IT systems
Oversee platform architecture, DevSecOps strategy, and lifecycle management
Design and implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines utilizing GitLab or other CI/CD systems
Support AWS toolsets and maintain multiple CI/CD environments
Configure CI/CD environments for application performance, security monitoring, and alerting
Act as a point person with the corporate IT organization
Lead teams in an Agile/SCRUM software development process
Mentor engineers on secure coding, deployment patterns, and best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

US Citizenship Required
Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Secret Clearance
DoD 8140 intermediate certification or DoD 8570 IAM Level II certifications or higher
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years relevant experience depending on degree
5+ years hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD in enterprise environments
Demonstrable experience leading technical teams and architecting solutions within an Agile and/or SAFe environment.
Experience leading or architecting the migration of large, complex systems (preferably Air Force systems) to a DoD-approved cloud environment (e.g., AWS, Oracle Cloud).
Familiarity with DoD/Air Force cybersecurity mandates (RMF, STIGs).
Strong background in secure DevSecOps practices, automated testing, and pipeline governance.
