About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Transfer Agency function for assigned private equity funds.
- Execute capital calls, distributions, investor creation, and transfers in accordance with investor documentation and internal SLA.
- Maintain and update the investor registry and related documentation, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Support KYC/AML review and onboarding process for new investors in coordination with compliance and legal teams.
- Review and approve investor notices, statements, and reporting packages prior to dissemination, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
- Liaise with internal teams (fund accounting, legal, compliance, etc.) and external stakeholders (clients, investors, auditors).
- Manage multiple client mailboxes efficiently, ensuring all investor queries are addressed in a professional and timely manner.
- Participate in system enhancements, process improvements, and UAT testing where applicable.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior team members while assisting the Manager/AVP in managing workflows.
- Maintain adherence to internal policies, controls, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Transfer Agency or investor services, preferably within private equity or alternative investments.
- Strong knowledge of private equity fund structures (e.g., LP/GP, capital calls, distributions, equalization).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with fund administration systems (e.g., Investran, Geneva, Intralinks, Investor Vision, Investor portal, etc.) is a plus.
- Understanding of KYC/AML requirements and investor onboarding processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
