About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute key network operations including troubleshooting, cybersecurity compliance, and modernization preparation
- Perform Tier 2 and 3 troubleshooting for network devices
- Collect and trend baseline network metrics
- Implement STIG corrections and assist with ACAS and SCAP scanning
- Execute approved configuration changes and maintain device backups
- Support cutover readiness and modernization cleanup tasks
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of experience with network engineering
- Experience using tools such as Wireshark or SolarWinds
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP, IP, DHCP, ARP, HTTP, SNMP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, and QoS
- Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals and DoD security practices
- Ability to create and interpret technical diagrams and documentation
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- 8140 baseline CompTIA Security+ Certification
