Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the creation and management of a lab automation solution for a SATCOM lab
  • Plan, implement, test, and maintain automation hardware and software to support test and process automation
  • Improve reliability, availability, and performance across mission‑focused environments
  • Contribute to engineering efforts, including implementation planning, technical reviews, test activities, and upgrades
  • Establish automation practices and procedures in a DoD lab environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of experience with network configuration, troubleshooting, or engineering support
  • 2+ years of experience with routing and switching technologies and Layer 2 and 3 network protocols
  • Experience supporting engineering implementation planning, sustainment engineering, or technical reviews
  • Knowledge of network design and architecture, OSI model concepts, transport layers, and system interoperability
  • Knowledge of network security technologies and firewall implementations
  • Ability to interpret network diagrams, engineering documentation, and lab test outputs
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
