About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the creation and management of a lab automation solution for a SATCOM lab
- Plan, implement, test, and maintain automation hardware and software to support test and process automation
- Improve reliability, availability, and performance across mission‑focused environments
- Contribute to engineering efforts, including implementation planning, technical reviews, test activities, and upgrades
- Establish automation practices and procedures in a DoD lab environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of experience with network configuration, troubleshooting, or engineering support
- 2+ years of experience with routing and switching technologies and Layer 2 and 3 network protocols
- Experience supporting engineering implementation planning, sustainment engineering, or technical reviews
- Knowledge of network design and architecture, OSI model concepts, transport layers, and system interoperability
- Knowledge of network security technologies and firewall implementations
- Ability to interpret network diagrams, engineering documentation, and lab test outputs
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
