Key responsibilities & impact- As an Avionics Obsolescence Engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems
- Designing and integrating missile systems
- Managing the acquisition Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process in support of complex control systems
- Transforming Mission Systems requirements to improve missile performance
- Working with existing teams to understand current challenges
- Collaborating with OEMs to redesign, develop, and integrate upgrades
- Augmenting designs and algorithms to better system performance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in avionics or obsolescence
- Knowledge of avionics systems and systems integration challenges
- Ability to work with a team of engineers to modify designs and improve system integrations to improve warfighter capabilities
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field
- Experience with modern Navy avionics systems (Nice to have)
- Experience with the SETR acquisition process (Nice to have)
- Knowledge of contracting mechanisms and CDRL reporting (Nice to have)
- Knowledge of system targeting algorithms and test techniques (Nice to have)
- Ability to analyze avionics designs and provide technical inputs (Nice to have)
- Top Secret clearance (Nice to have)
- Master's degree in an Engineering or Science field (Nice to have)
