About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the design, planning, and support of high-purity gas systems across Micron’s global manufacturing network.
  • Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant infrastructure to support semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Collaborate across design, construction, operations, and maintenance teams.
  • Design and maintain cryogenic bulk and specialty gas systems for safety and efficiency.
  • Develop and manage specifications, standards, and record drawings.
  • Ensure designs comply with environmental, safety, and regulatory codes.
  • Assist with planning for future needs and analyzing potential scenarios at global sites.
  • Review and advise on infrastructure modifications and system impacts.
  • Provide engineering oversight during design, construction, and startup phases.
  • Lead technical problem-solving and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Maintain and improve corporate facility standards and protocols.
  • Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness.
  • Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in high-purity bulk and/or specialty gas systems.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with FMEA and HAZOP risk analysis methodologies.
  • Technical leadership in vendor qualification and procurement support.
