About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the design, planning, and support of high-purity gas systems across Micron’s global manufacturing network.
- Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant infrastructure to support semiconductor manufacturing.
- Collaborate across design, construction, operations, and maintenance teams.
- Design and maintain cryogenic bulk and specialty gas systems for safety and efficiency.
- Develop and manage specifications, standards, and record drawings.
- Ensure designs comply with environmental, safety, and regulatory codes.
- Assist with planning for future needs and analyzing potential scenarios at global sites.
- Review and advise on infrastructure modifications and system impacts.
- Provide engineering oversight during design, construction, and startup phases.
- Lead technical problem-solving and risk mitigation efforts.
- Maintain and improve corporate facility standards and protocols.
- Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness.
- Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in high-purity bulk and/or specialty gas systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
- Experience in semiconductor manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with FMEA and HAZOP risk analysis methodologies.
- Technical leadership in vendor qualification and procurement support.
