About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the design, documentation, and continuous improvement of internal controls
- Establish and formalize accounting policies and procedures
- Drive system and workflow enhancements
- Own critical components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
- Review complex journal entries, reconciliations, and account analyses
- Lead analytical reviews of financial results
- Oversee accounting for large-scale capital projects
- Partner with FP&A and Operations to strengthen project cost controls
- Ensure appropriate documentation and audit support
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- B.S. in Accounting or related field
- 8+ years of progressive general ledger accounting experience
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience preparing or reviewing full financial statements and supporting disclosures
- Demonstrated experience designing, documenting, and improving internal controls
- Proven ability to manage complex accounting areas independently
- Experience supporting external audits
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Strong experience working within ERP systems
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
