About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review subpoenas, investigative demands, information requests, and related legal documents to identify response requirements, deadlines, and relevant business contacts.
- Prepare and send responses to third-party legal requests in coordination with in-house counsel, external counsel, and internal stakeholders.
- Record, process, and monitor incoming requests, filings, and orders using matter management systems and shared repositories.
- Respond to status inquiries and escalations from issuing parties and internal teams with accurate updates and next steps.
- Research related matters, supporting records, and available resources to help determine response scope and required documentation.
- Maintain electronic case management tools, shared file rooms, and databases to support tracking, reporting, and retrieval of legal matter information.
- Support program administration, reporting, special projects, and process improvement activities related to third-party response operations.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience in paralegal, legal operations, or legal analyst work supporting subpoena response, investigative demands, records requests, or similar third-party legal matters.
- Experience reviewing legal documents, tracking deadlines, and coordinating document collection and responses in a regulated business environment.
- Experience using matter management systems, document repositories, and database tools for legal matter tracking, file management, and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Legal Studies, Business, Criminal Justice, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal operations credential (preferred).
- Experience preparing written correspondence and legal response materials with accuracy, organization, and attention to deadlines (preferred).
- Experience supporting third-party response programs in financial services, payments, or consumer data environments (preferred).
- Experience working with in-house counsel and external counsel on subpoena or investigative response matters (preferred).
