About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Apply HR skills in support of managers, program staff and customers on the full range of HR topics including but not limited to staffing, classification, processing, benefits, recruitment, compensation, SES programs, work life programs, policy and employee and labor relations
  • Processing personnel and payroll actions, keying payroll documents, processing leave audits
  • Creating vacancy, retirement and payroll folders
  • Researching waiver and hearing requests
  • Scanning documents into various personnel record systems
  • Assisting with drafting SOP’s
  • Processing personal liability insurance reimbursement claims
  • Initiating tentative selection notifications, notice of results or disposition letter
  • Researching and compiling information on the full range of federal HR topics
  • Responding to and providing general HR guidance to applicants and staff, maintain employee files
  • Provide wide ranging administrative support to managers and program staff

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Either a Bachelor’s Degree required OR: can have 3 years of federal Human Resources experience as equivalent
  • Knowledge of Health and Human Services Guidelines for federal drug testing (if applicable)
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license (if applicable)
  • U.S. citizen or Legal Permanent Resident, must currently reside in the United States or its Territories
  • Must have resided in the United States or its Territories for three or more years out of the last five
  • Delegated Examining Certification and/or HRM Certificate from an accredited academic institution preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced technical proficiency in the full Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding and familiarity with industry best practices
  • Advanced organization and leadership skills
  • Exceptional time management skills
