About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as project manager for meteorological station installations and service campaigns, including:
  • Serve as key point of contact for customers, helping translate technical requirements into clear plans and maintaining strong, trusted relationships throughout the project.
  • Organize and oversee subcontractor schedules and mobilizations for on-site installation and commissioning of equipment, often with last-minute changes.
  • Provide remote technical support for troubleshooting (meteorological sensors, data acquisition systems, etc.).
  • Work collaboratively with various stakeholders to resolve issues in a time-critical manner.
  • Complete projects safely by ensuring work is planned and executed in accordance with DNV safety procedures and industry best practices.
  • Consult on, design, procure, and prepare instrumentation suites for measurements.
  • Monitor data, and author and review technical plans and reports.
  • Work with team leaders to coordinate delivery of all the Section’s projects according to the following priorities:
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Timeliness, quality, and on-budget delivery of deliverables
  • Identifying opportunities to add value

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental sciences, atmospheric sciences, or a related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience managing field teams, plus related project management experience
  • Demonstrated experience identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, or safety
  • Curiosity and interest in digital tools, data systems, and emerging technologies, with a willingness to explore and adopt new solutions
  • Attention to detail and curiosity to derive precise answers from data (how, why, what, when)
  • Strong skills in the Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn multiple software tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks, type, sit, and interact with computers and computer systems (hardware and software) for most of the day
  • Standard office environment, occasionally requiring lifting up to 50 lb (approximately 23 kg), as well as walking, sitting, bending, turning, standing, and reaching regularly
  • Ability to travel occasionally by air to wind and solar sites, other offices, and conferences (up to 15% per year, sometimes over long distances)
  • Valid driver’s license required, with the ability to rent and drive a vehicle and use public transportation if necessary
  • Ability to drive up to six hours and walk on uneven terrain
  • A background check and drug screening are conducted prior to hire
