About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, develop, and scale the AMS Opportunity Consulting team
  • Oversee and guide the financial evaluation of large, complex aaS deals
  • Provide senior financial oversight on key pursuits
  • Ensure strict adherence to HPE accounting standards and governance frameworks
  • Partner with AMS Sales, Pursuit, Finance, and Business Unit leaders
  • Drive the evolution of the aaS Opportunity Consulting model toward scalability, speed, and specialization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA, CPA, or equivalent strongly preferred
  • Typically 10–15+ years of experience in finance, including pricing, deal desk, or commercial finance roles
  • Proven leadership experience managing global or regional teams in complex environments
  • Strong background in aaS / subscription-based business models and deal structuring
  • Experience partnering with senior executives and influencing strategic decisions
  • Deep expertise in financial modeling (P&L, cash flow, NPV/IRR) and investment analysis
  • Strong understanding of aaS commercial models, pricing strategies, and deal economics
  • Advanced knowledge of revenue recognition, accounting principles, and risk management frameworks
  • Exceptional executive communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure, complex deal environments
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities.
