About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, develop, and scale the AMS Opportunity Consulting team
- Oversee and guide the financial evaluation of large, complex aaS deals
- Provide senior financial oversight on key pursuits
- Ensure strict adherence to HPE accounting standards and governance frameworks
- Partner with AMS Sales, Pursuit, Finance, and Business Unit leaders
- Drive the evolution of the aaS Opportunity Consulting model toward scalability, speed, and specialization
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA, CPA, or equivalent strongly preferred
- Typically 10–15+ years of experience in finance, including pricing, deal desk, or commercial finance roles
- Proven leadership experience managing global or regional teams in complex environments
- Strong background in aaS / subscription-based business models and deal structuring
- Experience partnering with senior executives and influencing strategic decisions
- Deep expertise in financial modeling (P&L, cash flow, NPV/IRR) and investment analysis
- Strong understanding of aaS commercial models, pricing strategies, and deal economics
- Advanced knowledge of revenue recognition, accounting principles, and risk management frameworks
- Exceptional executive communication and influencing skills
- Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure, complex deal environments
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities.
