About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintaining one of Williams’ largest installations of horsepower and power distribution equipment
  • Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation systems, including switchgear, motor controls, control loops, PLCs (Allen Bradley), and both AC/DC systems
  • Ensuring safe and reliable operations by identifying root causes of equipment issues and implementing corrective actions to reduce downtime
  • Maintaining and repairing process control systems to support efficient plant operations
  • Collaborating with project teams to define scope and instrumentation specifications for new installations and upgrades
  • Supporting construction projects, troubleshooting equipment, and analyzing data to solve technical challenges

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and travel between locations
  • Ability to work in extreme conditions and elevated areas with PPE
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safety and operational excellence
  • Technician II: 2+ years of related experience, preferably in oil & gas
  • Technician III: 3+ years of technician experience, preferably in oil & gas
  • Technician Sr: 6+ years of experience with similar equipment or facilities; Associate degree preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC applications
  • Familiarity with Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
  • Ability to embrace new technologies and drive operational efficiency
