About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Detailed design of Fuselage structure, Wing structure, Vertical and Horizontal Fin structure and Control surface’s structure using Catia V5
  • Creation of Bill of material and data configuration management; fastener and material selection
  • Reviewing and checking engineering drawings and deliverables
  • Creation of Installation, Part and Assembly drawings, BOM and Engineering Change management
  • Creation of KIT drawings for ACT/ACJ A220-100/300
  • Implementing PCR, DCP & RFCs for WP 6.27, 6.21 & 6.2 for A220 -100/300
  • RFC investigation for WP 6.27, 6.21 & 6.2
  • Design change impact analysis for ATA 53-3
  • Design support engineer for A220 structural components
  • Collaborate with project teams to understand project requirements and propose relevant technology solutions
  • Interact with onshore team understand the project need and delivery timelines [KPI]
  • Participate in internal knowledge-sharing and capability-building initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6-12 years of experience in Aero industry with Airbus A220 Design experience
  • Good Experience on Airframe Design
  • Direct and coordinate the design team and customer
  • Handle queries & tasks within set timelines
  • Task tracking and reporting
  • Legacy conversion of Primary and secondary structural components
  • Using Catia V5 (Machined, Sheet metal, Extruded & Composite parts)
  • Experience in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA)
  • Knowledge on Materials and Process Standards
  • Peer review of Drawings, 3D models, assembly, Installations and Engineering documents
  • Coordination and perform design related tasks with internal and external interfaces (like stress department, aerodynamics, materials & processes, production and equipment suppliers) within the defined scope of work
  • DMU Creation and Analysis
  • Good knowledge on GD&T
  • Strong skills in Modelling & Drafting CATIA V5, VPM and Airbus tools
  • Composite: CD3/CPD (for composite skins only)
  • Sheetmetal Development: SL3
  • Hands-on experience in working with airframe composites and metallic components
