About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for supporting manufacturing activities such as day to day trouble shooting and support
  • Support machinists and manufacturing operators in programs, set ups in equipment by problem solving using new and/or existing tools
  • Ensure set up recipes are optimum to manufacture parts to meet specified tolerances with minimal scrap and time
  • Propose jobs and programs to exceed standard quoted rates, with proper guidelines and manufacturing procedures
  • Data interpretation and analysis to prevent product potential quality problems
  • Develop new tooling SMED to improve current tooling for production and secondary equipment
  • Manage and effectively support multiple Manufacturing Engineering parallel projects and deadlines
  • Support process improvements based on Engineering and Manufacturing priorities regarding yield, quality, and cost

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Technical High School Degree or Technical Degree
  • 2-3 years of medical devices experience
  • Availability to work at hourly business schedule (Shift “A” and ”B”)
  • Willing to work extended hours as required and potentially travel once a year if needed
  • Good verbal and writing communication skills
  • Technical Knowledge: High understanding of manufacturing equipment, blueprints interpretation, basic validation knowledge, general lean manufacturing concepts and knowledgeable in formal process of continuous improvement tools and technical writing
