About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Play a pivotal role in advancing sustainable practices
- Develop and maintain relationships with outlets and vendors for organics disposition and processing
- Identify and implement solutions contributing directly to waste reduction
- Manage multiple projects
- Assist with problem resolution for organics recycling streams/outlets
- Research new recycling trends and technologies
- Analyze complex data sets related to waste streams, market trends, and outlet capabilities
- Synthesize data insights into actionable plans for efficient, cost-effective recycling solutions
- Review and negotiate contracts for complex solutions
- Manage relationships with outlet partners
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4-year degree in Science or Business field with a focus on Analytics, Business Administration, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline OR 2 years of relevant professional experience in a business analysis, strategic planning, or sustainability-focused role
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills for cost analyses and data manipulation
- Ability to conduct phone, email, and in-person negotiations
- Strong technical problem solving and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel throughout North America 3 – 5 times per year
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
