About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead development and implementation of complex models to produce unbiased and objective short-term and long-term US and global revenue forecasts for in-market products and programs beyond DP3
  • Implement a variety forecast approaches to triangulate opportunity assessments, address key business questions, and evaluate risk factors
  • Identify key inputs for forecasting models, and work cross-functionally to identify sources of insight
  • Responsible for synthesis and presentation of forecast and strategic implications in a timely manner to key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with analytics and market research to understand the performance versus forecast—and continuously fine-tune forecast assumptions
  • Lead alignment of key stakeholders on the appropriate source of insights for each forecast assumption
  • Provide revenue forecasts on an annual basis as input for key corporate processes
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing to translate demand forecasts to appropriate production and stock keeping schedules
  • Develop new forecast models for pipeline programs to help prioritize clinical investments
  • Develop requests for proposals, solicits competitive bids, awards contracts to outside forecast and commercial data partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of experience; OR a master's degree with at least 7 years of experience; OR a PhD with 5+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated analytical capabilities and critical thinking skills
  • Understanding of drug pharmaceutical development and commercialization process, as well as industry competitive dynamics
  • Demonstrated success defining business information and insight needs and translating those to specific deliverables; understanding of biopharmaceutical commercial market data sources
  • Ability to assess and direct vendor technical capabilities and manage risks in the analytic process
  • Ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands, deal with ambiguity, and collaborate with teams through complex and challenging cross-functional projects
  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotions, and pharma industry guidelines
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfort with senior management and knowledge of senior management thought processes; ability to speak their language and address their needs.
