About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support asset due diligence and valuation services through analysis of client data, market research, asset inspections, modelling, strategy development, project management, and preparation of deliverables.
  • Conduct asset valuations for mergers & acquisitions, purchase price accounting, fair value reporting, impairment testing, taxation, insurance, and finance purposes.
  • Perform physical inspections of plant and equipment both domestically and internationally.
  • Develop and review valuation models and lead meetings with client management and on-site personnel.
  • Utilise in-house data and analytics tools for services such as Fixed Asset Register audits, rebuilds, and CAPEX optimisation.
  • Assist Senior Leadership with initiating client work, preparing proposals, and addressing client inquiries.
  • Provide technical expertise and mentoring to grow the capability of junior team members.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Background in Corporate Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or equivalent STEM discipline, combined with a Business/Commerce degree.
  • Substantial experience and proven expertise in plant and equipment valuation.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills, with demonstrated problem-solving and collaborative approach.
  • Membership or eligibility for professional bodies such as the American Society of Appraisers, Australian Property Institute, or Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, and relevant certifications preferred.
  • Experience with software suites like Microsoft Office, Power BI, Python, Tableau, or similar data analytics tools.
