About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead complex engineering across the Managed Cyber Defence platform stack, including SOAR automation, detection engineering, and EDR/NDR integration, while maintaining high documentation and quality standards.
- Act as the senior escalation point for junior engineers, providing mentorship, coaching, and technical review to strengthen team capability and delivery quality.
- Support pre-sales by designing accurate solutions, contributing technical authority to proposals, leading bids where needed, and delivering compelling client presentations that help win new business.
- Shape the service roadmap through strategy, R&D, continuous improvement, vendor relationships, and trusted client advisory work, identifying growth, innovation, and service enhancement opportunities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong written and verbal communication for proposals, reports, presentations and bid defence.
- Deep hands-on expertise across SIEM, XDR, EDR, NDR and SOAR platforms.
- Experience with Google SecOps, Cortex XDR or Microsoft Sentinel/Defender.
- Skilled in solution design, pre-sales, delivery lifecycle, planning and sprint coordination.
- Strong focus on quality, mentoring, stakeholder relationships and client value.
- Self-starting, adaptable, customer-focused and driven to apply and share expertise.
