About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor, track, and evaluate LCC carrier performance to key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics
- Responsible for leading LCC carrier management to establish countermeasures and improvement plans are created and executed and follow up with carrier regarding progress being made to these countermeasures
- Lead on-site LCC carrier activities to include 12 – 16 by 5 coverage for all issues not limited to natural disasters, operation shutdowns, business continuity plans, etc.
- Create standardized work procedures (SOS/JES) for LCC activities
- Educate, train, and monitor LCC carrier execution to standardized work
- Perform process audits and lead various carrier performance reviews
- Provide reporting for LCC performance metrics to appropriate leadership
- Work with the customer to establish strategies for continuous improvement of the consolidation centers
- Lead value stream mapping activities and create LCC process flow diagrams
- Review weekly logistics consolidation center invoice submission for validity and first level approval of invoices in excess of $330K/week and $17M/year
- Identify cost savings of $100K/annual in LCC projects
- Participate in network carrier transitions that consist of weeklong assignments away from home
- Work across two shifts with LCC Operations ending at 1830 EST at least one afternoon/evening per week
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4 years of logistics or transportation experience
- Demonstrated group presentation skills and excellent negotiation skills to deal effectively with individuals and groups within and outside the organization
- Strong Fluency of Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
