About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • You will have responsibilities covering all aspects of billing and expense operations supporting client and fund fee processes.
  • You will work closely with associates across the business and act as a primary contact for daily operational needs, while providing direction, leadership, and support in collaboration with partners across the organization.
  • This role is an individual contributor position at the manager level and requires a hands-on approach to executing complex billing activities, including management and performance fee calculations, while helping to enhance processes and controls.
  • In addition to operational responsibilities, you will contribute to improving workflows, supporting key initiatives, and collaborating with internal teams including Fund Accounting, Institutional Client Services, Corporate Accounting, and more.
  • Provide guidance and expertise in billing processes, including client invoicing and fund-level management and performance fee calculations.
  • Perform detailed review of fee calculations, allocations, and supporting financial data.
  • Support implementation and enhancement of operational processes and procedures.
  • Coordinate and manage workflows associated with monthly and quarterly deliverables.
  • Evaluate systems, processes, and reporting for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate testing of system or process enhancements and communicate results.
  • Provide functional expertise, problem resolution, analysis, and reporting across billing and expense activities.
  • Ensure deliverables are completed within established timelines and in accordance with policies and controls.
  • Identify risks and ensure appropriate controls are in place and operating effectively.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve processes and drive operational efficiency.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with relevant experience
  • Strong experience in alternative fund accounting, including private equity or hedge fund structures
  • Experience with management and performance fee calculations and partner allocations
  • Public accounting (audit) background preferred
  • Experience with Geneva preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to operate independently in a hands-on role while contributing to broader team initiatives
  • Understanding of financial and accounting principles and their application in operational processes
