Key responsibilities & impact

Lead a variety of projects including technical evaluations and analyses in the area of Anticipated Operational Occurrences, Anticipated Transients without Scram, Reactor Heat Balance, and Thermal Hydraulic Fuel Channel Analyses
Perform plant thermal hydraulic evaluations and analyses in the areas of Containment, HELB, Fire Safe Shutdown, Annulus Pressurization Loads, and RIPD analyses
Perform plant thermal hydraulic evaluations and analyses in the areas of BWR stability
Deliver products at a consistently high and sustainable level in accordance with customer requirements, business procedures, and regulatory agency guidelines
Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations
Perform technical verification of engineering technical deliverables
Prepare, communicate, and present complex technical issues to internal and external customers and recommend solutions
Ensure work is performed with high quality in accordance with regulatory rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

B.S. Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or similar)
At least 8 years of relevant nuclear experience
U.S. export-controlled information access eligibility
Master's Degree or Ph.D. Degree in Engineering; or Senior Reactor Operator Certification (preferred)
Experience with BWR core simulation and thermal-hydraulic systems codes
Experience with BWR Containment, HELB, Fire Safe Shutdown, Annulus Pressurization Loads, and RIPD analyses
Knowledge of BWR Systems and integrated plant response
Knowledge of fundamental principles of nuclear engineering (nuclear physics, thermal hydraulics, mechanical design)
Expertise in two-phase thermal hydraulic analysis techniques
Experience with standard engineering work planning and design process techniques
Knowledge of reactor licensing requirements
Experience with BWR/PWR T-H systems codes such as TRACG, RELAP & TRACE
Experience in Best Estimate methodology development (e.g., TRACG)
Experience with Containment codes such as GOTHIC
Programming experience such as C#, FORTRAN, or PYTHON
