About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Accountable for direct or indirect day to day management of a team of IT professionals
  • Negotiating technology costs and scope in forecasting, planning process with subset of business clients
  • Identify opportunities, pro-active proposals/ideas to produce cost savings and/or modernize the infrastructure
  • Annual financial planning

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate
  • 7-10 years relevant experience managing IT professionals, stakeholders, and technology project oversight
  • Experience in the Canadian retail banking environment, financial services or customer‑focused service industries
  • Extensive understanding of networks and switches, Windows servers knowledge
  • Commitment to staying abreast of industry and business trends
  • Readiness to serve as a technology, trends and processes "go-to" resource
  • Ability to work with stakeholders to run initiatives, configure, upgrade and administer business applications and systems of moderate to high complexity, under minimal management supervision
  • Strong ability to perform problem determination, including data gathering and analysis
  • Great comfort-level acting as a reference for team or clients.
