About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Acts as the final decision authority on commercial loan applications
  • Follows sound lending practices, policies and procedures
  • Responsible for financial analysis of complex loans/industries/Customers
  • Contributes to team responsibility for ensuring satisfactory audit, loan review, and other loan quality metrics
  • Supports Credit Management strategic initiatives
  • Ensures compliance with established underwriting guidelines, quality and production guidelines, and Federal Banking Regulations
  • Renders final credit decision within individual lending authority limits
  • Determines necessary conditions of lending and closing
  • Acts as a mentor and participates in the ongoing development of the Underwriting Staff
  • Performs historical business financial analysis and cash flows
  • Contributes to discussions of policy and standards adjustments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant commercial lending relationship management, underwriting, and/or adjudication experience
  • Prior lending authority >/= $1 million preferred
  • Small Business Administration/Agency, Healthcare Practice Solutions, or other specialty lending experience preferred
  • Able to operate in a highly professional, systems-based environment
  • Proven analytical and research skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to blend technical knowledge and good business judgment
  • Proven organizational, multi-tasking, analytical, time management and decision-making skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team orientation
  • Ability to work with various levels of business partners
  • Computer literacy with a variety of software programs
