About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Managing a group of product categories and licensees for Accessories & Footwear
  • Developing, proposing, overseeing and implementing the business strategy for Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and 20th Century properties for Men's Apparel categories, Accessories & Footwear categories
  • Fiscal responsibility for assigned categories including annual budget planning and quarterly revenue forecasting
  • Participating and contributing to the strategic planning process
  • Developing strategies and business plans by brand, property and retail distribution channel
  • Identifying new business and revenue opportunities
  • Providing licensee/product information in support of marketing and brand presentations and sales meetings
  • Acts as ambassador for the category
  • Researching & understanding the competitive landscape
  • Analyzing and understanding market trends, consumer trends, retailer and industry needs
  • Developing and implementing product strategies, merchandising, and marketing plans to maximize sales
  • Managing licensee portfolio including contract negotiation, data management, approvals, submissions, promotion/advertising
  • Partnering with the Product Development team to innovate & bring to market compelling new products
  • Maintaining strong knowledge of the retail landscape and monitoring retail sales performance of key licensees and programs
  • Building team-oriented relationships with other DCP franchise teams and business units to develop opportunities of coordination

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ yrs. related experience or an MBA with 3-4 years of experience
  • Strong understanding of consumer product trends and brand positioning
  • Solid understanding of the retail environment, including retail and direct-to-consumer
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to handle several tasks/assignments simultaneously and to maintain flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Self-starter, motivated, proactive, dependable, able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical/Strategic Thinker
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; knowledge of financial tracking systems preferred
