About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Researching, writing and maintaining clear, current, practical legal content aligned with market practice and customer needs.
Reviewing and editing content written by others, including colleagues and external contributors.
Keeping up to date with legal, practice, and market developments to ensure content remains accurate and relevant.
Using legal expertise to support the development of customer-focused Thomson Reuters' AI-powered legal solutions.
Developing and maintaining relationships with lawyers and industry groups to ensure content reflects current market practice.
Contributing to innovative plans for future dispute resolution content.

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 5 years PQE experience as a commercial litigation lawyer in a top or mid-tier private practice or in-house or government team.
Background in general commercial litigation, preferably in the superior courts of Australia.
Experience practising in multiple jurisdictions within Australia, and in various types of litigation (e.g. construction, insurance, property).
Good working knowledge of civil procedure in the Federal Court and at least one of the state/territory Supreme Courts.
Excellent writing and communication skills, passion for writing about legal practice accurately, concisely.
Collaborative mindset with ability to work effectively independently and in teams.
Good technical skills and ability to utilise various tools, including generative AI technologies.
Adaptability and flexibility for diverse projects and tasks, including supporting Thomson Reuters' AI solutions.
Experience in using AI tools in legal work.
Some knowledge of online research databases.
Proven ability to work with ambiguity and collaborate with diverse teams.
