About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with engineering calculations using computer-based technical tools
- Technical writing of reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals
- Data input and analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures
- Follow instructions from and interact with engineers, geologists, office administrative staff, CADD operators (draftsmen), contractors and construction personnel
- Potential for fieldwork such as soil and groundwater sampling, stormwater inspections, and drilling and contractor oversight
- Responsible for coordinating transportation to and from the office; and local travel or driving to project sites as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently registered in a Bachelor’s or Master’s university degree program in civil, geotechnical, or water resources engineering or related field. (required)
- Experience with ArcView, CADD, and/or Microsoft Office. (preferred)
- Outstanding academic credentials and exceptional interpersonal, technical writing, oral and written communication, and problem-solving skills. (required)
- Exposure to environmental regulations and/or contaminated site remediation via coursework or prior internship experience. (preferred)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license, reliable transportation, and satisfactory driving record for business travel to project sites. (required)
