About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform a full range of design engineering responsibilities in support of facility design, operation, and maintenance activities.
- Apply broad and diversified knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, and DOE‑complex requirements.
- Perform conventional engineering design, analysis, and calculations.
- Develop, review, and support engineering design packages.
- Provide construction, field, and project engineering support.
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a multi‑discipline team.
- Apply engineering technology and tools to deliver high‑quality work.
- Interface with stakeholders across disciplines in a fast‑paced environment.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution
- At least 6 Years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of industry, regulatory, and DOE/NNSA codes, standards, and criteria relevant to electrical engineering.
- Proven knowledge of commonly applied codes and standards at DOE and DoD facilities (e.g., NQA 1, IBC, NFPA, NEC).
- Prior experience facilitating and developing engineering design packages.
- Familiarity with typical engineering deliverables (e.g., construction documents).
- Experience with computer aided design/drafting software or markup tools.
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal contract security requirements.
- Must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance.
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing.
