About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for architecture within a specific segment or domain for a single business unit.
- Provide architectural direction on technical patterns.
- Contribute to defining target state technology architecture and roadmaps.
- Conduct hands-on prototyping and technology proof of concepts.
- Partner in the execution of proof of technologies.
- Support technology modernization initiatives.
- Help minimize technical debt through continuous transformation.
- Build foundational relationships and encourage buy-in.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s in technology related field or equivalent with 6 years of demonstrated engineering experience or 2 to 3 years of technology architecture experience.
- Recent hands-on architecture and/or engineering experience with modern technologies.
- Experience with successful execution of modernizing technology initiatives.
- Leadership skills with the ability to foster a supportive learning environment.
- Experience working in an agile operating model.
- Insurance technology experience preferred.
- Able to identify and analyze current/future problems and opportunities.
