Business Insights & Analytics Leadership Development Program Participant

• The program is multi-faceted and offers a business insights & analytics and business development curriculum focused on analytics, insurance, strategy, leading self and influencing others.
• Other program components include formal mentoring, networking and career guidance.
• Please note that occasional travel for business meetings and events is an expectation of program participants.
• BI&A LDP Geospatial participant duties will vary based on the specific rotation, but each geospatial rotation will at least feature: Creating, analyzing, and interpreting spatial data to support business needs.
• Our geospatial work features a broad range in several experiences at Travelers that can develop knowledge of geographic information science, platform technology, statistics, spatial thinking, remote sensing, location intelligence issues, and the social/physical sciences to characterize events, discover relationships and trends.
• Positions within this family work with business customers to determine how business intelligence information and analytic solutions can be leveraged to provide business insights for business strategies, capabilities, and processes.

Actuary

• The program is multi-faceted and offers a combination of actuarial and business development as key partners in determining risks and rewards for the company.
• Other program components include exam support, training, formal mentoring, and networking with dedicated career guidance throughout the time in program.
• Please note that occasional travel for business meetings and events is an expectation of program participants.
• To help prepare for these roles, the ALDP provides participants with challenging rotational assignments in varied core actuarial and analytic functions across the Travelers organization which may include:
• Pricing and Ratemaking
• Reserving
• Claim Risk Analysis
• Product Management
• Corporate/Enterprise Data Science
• STRATEGY - Recommend and execute solutions for assigned project sub-components to resolve challenges of an initiative.
• Execute work thoughtfully and efficiently as a team member to improve project team performance and timelines.
• May participate on strategic projects with execution responsibility for assigned project sub-components.
• May participate on cross-unit initiatives.
• OPERATIONAL – Refresh basic actuarial and analytic analyses with supervision. Support unit initiatives. Provide support as necessary for initiatives across the Enterprise within the scope of influence.

Actuarial Leadership Development Program – Participant

• The goal of the Actuarial Leadership Development Program (ALDP) internship is to attract and develop self-motivated individuals who are highly skilled and passionate about a career in actuarial while providing a foundation for future success within the organization.
• As an ALDP intern, you will be exposed to a challenging actuarial professional work experience with planned activities giving you insight into business and the many actuarial career options at Travelers.

Associate

• Actively participate in structured training classes covering insurance policies, specific claim processes, systems, and procedures, including virtual, classroom, and on-the-job training.
• Review, investigate, and document 1st party property claims under close supervision.
• Gather information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third-party providers.
• Learn to investigate and evaluate all relevant facts and information (including but not limited to analyzing leases, contracts, by-laws and other relevant documents which may have an impact).
• Determine and apply coverage for building damages per policy terms.
• Establish accurate scope of damages for building and contents losses and utilizes as a basis for written estimates and/or computer assisted estimates.

Security Engineer

• Under general supervision, this position supports the organization's threat management efforts by assessing risk, conducting investigations, and informing mitigation actions to protect employees, operations, and facilities.
• Provide consultative support to Human Resources and business partners in high-risk situations (e.g., threats of harm, employee relations matters, protective orders), offering structured, risk-based guidance.
• Identify and direct the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and business unit for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.

• We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic team player with industry experience to join our Strategic Resolution Group Claim team as a Sr. Technical Specialist handling complex toxic tort, latent injury, sexual misconduct, environmental claims and/or excess claims that present significant financial exposures.
• With general supervision, you will manage challenging large exposure claims which routinely present unique, complex liability and coverage issues.
• You will develop strategies to successfully resolve these claims in the most efficient and effective way while meeting established protocols and delivering optimal customer service.
• You will apply your advanced knowledge of legal issues and applicable case law in multiple jurisdictions.
• Provides mentoring, coaching, consulting, and training resources, and serves as a contact and technical resource to the field and our business partners.
