About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

The Site EHS Specialist ensures regulatory compliance and supports a strong safety culture through incident investigation, environmental management, training, and coordination with employees, the Safety Committee, and site leadership.
Serve as a safety champion, promoting proactive hazard awareness, safe behaviors, and continuous improvement throughout the site.
Coordinate and guide the Safety Committee to ensure productive meetings, effective follow‑through on action items, and meaningful participation in safety initiatives.
Assist with emergency preparedness planning, drills, equipment readiness, and required documentation.
Manage and maintain assigned safety programs, including lockout/tagout, mobile equipment, contractor safety, and safe work practices.
Investigate incidents, near misses, injuries, and illnesses; perform root‑cause analysis and support implementation and verification of corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure compliance with GMP and applicable regulatory standards, including WA OSHA, WA EPA, and all relevant federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations.
Maintain Triumph’s Environmental Management System (EMS) and support ongoing compliance with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System requirements.
Deliver EHS training programs including new‑hire orientations, refresher courses, and regulatory certifications.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Physical Sciences, Business Management, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3–6 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) roles.
Professional EHS certifications (REM, CIH, ASP, CSP, CHMM) preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Ability to collect, analyze, and report safety incident data in accordance with corporate reporting requirements.
Ability to provide accurate and consistent EHS guidance and support to site management.
Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or comparable environmental or quality management systems preferred.
Experience in aerospace manufacturing preferred.
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, including Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing, preferred.
