About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the operation and basic maintenance of CNC ID/OD grinders in the ID/OD Grind Department
- Produce high-quality products according to Triumph Geared Solutions ID/OD Grind department work instruction.
- Clock in & out of appropriate job operations
- Read, interpret, and produce machined dimensions from information on engineering drawings
- Adhere to job plans per job travelers
- Set up and operate CNC and Manual OD and ID grind equipment with minimal supervision
- Grinding of splined shafts and aircraft gears holding tolerances within .0001”
- Use precision measurement equipment to ensure first piece and production quality
- Maintain proper documentation of SPC data
- Consistently produce quality parts
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 7 years of experience
- Blueprint reading skills
- Shop math skills
- Proficiency in the use of a wide variety of precision measuring tools
- Positive attitude
- Ability to communicate and work with others in a team environment
