About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the completion of drainage-engineering project elements such as reports, designs, specifications, and plans
- Provides technical guidance to less experienced Engineers/EITs
- Works closely with other disciplines and multi-discipline projects
- Conducts design and constructability reviews of plans
- Provides support for final design review and quality assurance/control
- Coordinates design development and assists in providing technical direction
- Provides technical expertise in project aspects
- Works in collaboration with other offices within the company
- Work independently and supervise others to prepare final design plans and specifications, perform advanced hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, write and assemble drainage reports
- Experience working in a team environment is very important
- Should have the ability to take and to give design direction depending upon role on a given project
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or a related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of design experience for AZ role
- P.E, Registration required in the jurisdiction of the position
- Integrity and Highly Motivated
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microstation, Openroads, and AutoCAD
- River mechanics, erosion and scour calculations, and sediment transport training/experience a plus
- Experience using Project Wise or other file management/file-sharing software is a plus
- Knowledge of standard hydraulic and hydrology software is a plus (i.e. InRoads Storm and Sanitary, HEC-RAS (1D/2D), FLO-2D, HY-8, QGIS, StormCAD, SWMM)
