About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead monitoring and control of mainframe production environments
Perform advanced operational tasks, including complex job recovery, system coordination, and troubleshooting
Serve as the primary escalation point for incidents, outages, and operational exceptions
Guide, coach, and mentor Junior Mainframe Operations Resources during training and on the job activities
Coordinate with system programmers, application teams, and infrastructure teams during incidents and changes
Support change management, releases, maintenance windows, and disaster recovery activities
Review and improve runbooks, procedures, and operational documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need

4–5 years of experience supporting mainframe production operations
Proven ability to ensure system stability, availability, and compliance with operational and security standards
Demonstrated leadership during high-severity incidents, including coordination, escalation, and resolution
Experience mentoring junior resources and providing technical guidance
Strong focus on operational excellence
