About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct on-site inspections of commercial properties to assess risk factors and business operations
- Evaluate construction materials, fire protection systems, safety practices, and overall loss exposure
- Develop clear, detailed reports to support underwriting decisions
- Use technology and mobile tools to capture accurate data and ensure high-quality reporting
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients through in-person and virtual communication
- Plan and manage your own schedule to efficiently complete site visits across your assigned territory
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (fields like Risk Management, Insurance, Construction, or Safety are preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce concise, high-quality reports
- Comfort working independently, with strong organization and time management skills
- Proficiency with technology (laptops, mobile devices, MS Office, and field tools)
- Ability to work in a field-based environment, including walking job sites, climbing stairs, and traveling between locations
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within your territory (including occasional overnight stays)
- Ability to work remotely when not in the field, with a reliable home office setup
- Comfortable working in a variety of environments and weather conditions
