About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the identification of cost optimization opportunities in the cloud under senior guidance.
- Assist in cloud cost management and optimization initiatives.
- Learn and support existing FinOps practices for AWS and Azure.
- Participate in development of FinOps practices and contribute to team initiatives.
- Support ongoing development of a self-service environment for cloud cost transparency.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2-5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure or systems support.
- Basic understanding of CPU, memory, and performance metrics.
- SQL experience to parse datasets from the CUR files.
- Interest in AI and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn how they apply to cloud optimization.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- AWS cloud experience preferred.
- AWS or cloud computing certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner) preferred.
- Python or other programming language experience preferred.
