About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the identification, sourcing, and execution of municipal natural gas and power prepayment transactions.
  • Design, model, and execute complex structured energy financing transactions, including Muni Prepays.
  • Maintain and expand a senior-level network of relationships with prepaid suppliers, qualifying use participants.
  • Partner with trading desks to source physical volumes and implement hedging strategies.
  • Drive transactions from structuring through execution, ensuring compliance with internal risk governance.
  • Consult and collaborate with peers, senior leaders, and cross-functional partners to resolve complex issues.
  • Provide thought leadership on industry trends, regulatory developments, and structural innovations.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of Securities Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of experience in capital markets, energy origination, commodities, or municipal finance at a top-tier financial institution or merchant energy firm.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on track record of originating and executing municipal natural gas and/or power prepayment transactions.
  • Deep understanding of physical energy markets, structured energy finance, and tax-exempt municipal financing.
  • Proven experience working across trading, banking, legal, tax, and risk functions.
  • Strong financial modeling experience for non-recourse and structured energy transactions.
  • Established credibility with senior decision-makers across municipal and public power clients.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to attend client meetings and industry conferences.
