About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the development of Next Generation Network (NGN) architectures
Evaluate current and emerging 5G and 6G technologies for military applications
Develop technical studies, white papers, and architecture artefacts
Analyse secure communications concepts and network architectures
Conduct readiness assessments and technology maturity evaluations
Review Network Management and Cyber Defence concepts
Present findings and recommendations to NATO stakeholders
Contribute to future communication strategies and capability development

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of experience in communications systems, network architecture, or telecommunications engineering
Strong expertise in 5G, mobile communications, or next-generation networking
Experience designing large-scale communication and information systems
Strong understanding of security architecture and secure communications
Experience with enterprise architecture or capability architecture
Experience preparing technical reports, studies, and architecture documentation
Strong stakeholder communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently in a highly specialised consulting role
Military, defence, government, or critical infrastructure experience (Highly Desirable)
Experience with NATO or multinational programmes (Highly Desirable)
Knowledge of readiness assessments, technology maturity models, or capability development frameworks (Highly Desirable)
Experience with deployable communications systems (Highly Desirable)
Understanding of cloud, virtualization, monitoring, and interoperability frameworks (Highly Desirable)
